Empowering Learning, Inspiring Futures Together!

Our Mission

FORWARD is a nonprofit organization with the goal of providing $20,000 annually in cash grants to educators and staff in the River Falls School District to create and implement innovative educational programs.

what is Forward?

An education foundation that supports the School District of River Falls. We are an all-volunteer board run by members of the local community. We raise private funds to enhance creative learning initiatives that engage, challenge, and inspire students.

“I used the Forward Grant funding to purchase 22 Rubik’s cubes for my math classroom. I expected this grant to help students with their problem solving and critical thinking, but I quickly noticed how much it has helped students with reading and direction following as well. Overall, the Rubik's cubes have brought a lot of fun and creativity to the classroom.”

“Our department was able to update and improve the aesthetics in our Take a Break (TAB) calming room at MMS and create a space that is calming and inviting. Students have already expressed positive feelings about the updated space. One of our goals is to ensure students feel safe and comfortable in the space. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to provide these necessary regulation tools to our students at MMS!”

“I would estimate that this year alone we’ve been able to display artwork from approximately 25 students. It’s been so fun to see students looking at all of the artwork and complimenting their peers that don’t typically get such praise for their artistic talents. We are very proud of our grants that use collaboration in the district.”
